In this artistic venture, I explored into something that has always captivated my imagination – the fusion of technology and art within the domain of new media art. I embarked on a creative journey where I conceptualized, meticulously 3D modeled, and SLA 3D printed six unique chess pieces. To complement this, I also utilized a CNC routing machine to craft a wooden base that flawlessly accommodates all six pieces.

My deep-seated fascination with the various designs that chess sets can encompass, all while maintaining the distinct identity of each piece, was a driving force behind this project. Inspired by the innovative works of artists like Man Ray and Marcel Duchamp, who ventured into the world of chess set design, I set out to create my very own chess set. The design of my pieces draws influence from the Modernist Minimalism art movement of the 20th century.
